The Antica Sosta dei Viandanti is only 300 m from the beautiful Piazza Duomo and 800 m from the main railway station. With its seven warm, comfortable and refined flats, it rises on the foundations of an ancient Inn of the 15th century.

Here the merchants stayed, they could reach Florence by crossing the nearby Porta De'Pinti, when the city was still walled in. Florence became one of the most important cultural and economic centres of Europe.

The Antica Sosta dei Viandanti, situated in via Fiesolana, joined together Florence with nearby Fiesole. It represented an arrival point for all those who came from the northern regions. After encountering the cold of the mountains, they descended the sweet and flowered slopes which surrounded the city, finally entering into Florence.
